JUMAS -- Judicial Management by Digital Libraries Semantics
JUMAS is an IST-STREP project that envisages an advanced knowledge management system to support business processes and problem-solving in a variety of domains. The prototype will be developed on data of the judicial community, which, as one of the largest European information-bound public organizations has developed a need to improve its information processing activities towards a more secure and user-friendly manner. Not only will JUMAS provide tools for more securely archiving, retrieval and processing of data, but it will specifically provide means to exploit the semantics hidden in the huge knowledge base of judicial proceedings.
EML Research takes part in the project by contributing a detection deception module. The module aims towards an automatic labeling of transcribed utterances by classifying them into deceptive and non-deceptive utterances. Deception labeling of speech or text data will enrich semantic text meta data and will enable more thorough and more convenient methods of searching and archiving the juridical data.
