Alongside developing a device to measure and store physiological and physical user data, it is our intention to evaluate the data online and extract useful information about the user“s physical condition. Our aim is to devise an overall model that can take account of lots of totally different influences. Expert knowledge on influences of different diseases and physical efforts are considered in the model.
Starting from a well-defined situation, namely a standard ergometer test, we can narrow down the necessary parameters to be taken in consideration for our model. This simplifies our model while still enabling us to check the overall performance.
We have designed a simulation environment in which we simulate the measurements and show the implications of all possible influences. By comparing our results with real measurements we can test and evaluate our model. The software can also be used as a learning or demonstration tool. The influences of parameters like illnesses or changing environmental variables can be investigated.
