Software Engineering - MORABIT

A Distributed Infrastructure for mobile resource-adaptive Built-in Test Components

The Morabit project is a software engineering research project in the field of mobile component software. With the growing importance of mobile software systems there is also an increasing need for methods and tools to develop such systems. The goal of Morabit is to improve the reliability of mobile software systems built from components. To that end, we will investigate how components can best be tested under the conditions found in mobile systems, namely limited resources such as bandwidth of mobile connections and computing power.

In Morabit, we will devise a conceptual framework and methodology for designing and implementing mobile component-based systems with a focus on support for testing. When this framework is achieved, we will design and implement an actual infrastructure including a run-time system for components and a set of tools supporting the component assembly and testing process.
