It in the health sector

Dr. Feelgood is the project name of an interdisciplinary research project between medicine, physics and computer science established in 1998. Dr. Feelgood describes a multi-sensor device for measuring non-invasive physiological parameters. Additionally information concerning the surroundings will be taken into account. A software program will generate an individual profile of the person using Dr. Feelgood. In that way this device will learn more about the behavior of the individual person in different situations.

The focus of this planned watch-like sensor device is on people who are interested in staying healthily, active and who want to know more about their sportive condition. At the very least handicapped people could be monitored and in case of a critical condition an alarm could inform a medical center to provide help. The concept of Dr. Feelgood will allow a sportsman interested in the knowledge of his vitality a supervised training. The possibility of measuring different parameters during 24 hours should also give new statistical information in medical science.
